Modern cuts are shorter than short. Mesh/Sheer/See-through fabrics are all the rage. And overtly sexy silhouettes rule the runway. But classier cuts with an ode to the 50s movie star are making a huge comeback. Tea-length dresses are the way to go if you want to stand out in the fashion crowd but remain classy.
Designers such as Dior and Oscar de la Renta have both been fans of the right above the knee to just above the ankle style. And opting for a more conservative cut isn’t a sacrifice on sexy. To still stay in the sexy realm, wear a halter tea length dress or opt for a strapless piece. The strapless is my personal favorite and keeps you modern. These two styles are conservative but the showing of skin and collarbone is understated sexy.
